Living for the weekend!

Wow! What a manically successful last 7 days we've had. Again my apologies for not keeping you as up to speed as I'd have liked these last few days but its been busy, busy, busy here at Bird On A Wire HQ and its been extremely hard to post updates without my 'stolen' iphone grrrrrr!!  We've been prepping, stitching, stewing, steaming and also thankfully sunning our selves in the amazing rays of sun shine we've had in the last few days of shooting our new collection for the Asos Marketplace Boutique launch and SS11 Look book. Two amazing shoots have now been completed. We were out in full force on Saturday and on Tuesday yesterday. Working with some fantastic models, make-up artists and photographers, thats not to mention the stunning array of vintage clothes we had to style with. Phew, its been tres exciting I tell you, hard to not get overwhelmed by it all as I'm really starting to love the direction Bird On A Wire as a brand is taking.

Saturday was spent shooting in and around the gorgeous Hackney Wick canal area! And what a lovely time of it we had. Birds two gorgeous models, Amanda Kendell and Eliane Banda we're fabulously professional as was our fantastic photographer for the day Daren Montaque. We pulled of an amazing selection of shots, many of which are still in the editing process and will be uploaded onto the blog and Asos over the next couple of days. Don't worry I won't keep you all hanging for that long, I've got a few behind the scenes out takes to give you all a little taster below. Our look and story for Saturday was definitely very 60's and 70's orientated and infused looks  inspired by Birds icons of the present and past.
My lovely boyfriend was good enough to let us use his converted horse box truck, which he converted into the cutest fully functioning  portable home (seriously for get ye ole caravans of the past, this is where its at!) as our base for the day. Parked up right by the canal bridge it worked as our base and changing room space for the day. The team fell in love with it at first site, detailed pics of the truck to come for now, here's a little glimpes into our days in the sun.
